DAY THREE
Today was a much better day. The trail section was so much fun on the first loop. Today my start time was at 8:32 am. Instead of having 3 riders per min start, there were 2 riders per min, which made the trail sections less dusty. This morning after I got my bike out of impound I tightened the front and rear axles and check my rim locks.
The first special test of the day was the moto located right next to the parc ferme’. We ride this test every day. I got a decent time going through it. After the test I was back on the trail up to the Red Bull test. The Red Bull test was before the next check/service pit. So I had to stay out of the dust to keep my air filter and goggles clean. This test was up on top of a hill and had a lot of drop offs and rocks. I was very intimidated with this particular test. I rode very cautious, and my butt cheeks were puckered the whole time through the test. My test score was mediocre. About 2 miles after the test was the service check where Jill was at. I grabbed some new goggles and an air filter. Andrew followed me around today to all of the service checks. The next trail section up to the ski resort was a lot of fun. That is where the next service check was. After that was the enduro test. I rode through it pretty good the first time. I made it through without wrecking and cruised back to the parc ferme’. I started my second loop, which is the same as the first loop but more dust and silt. Horray!!! Haha…
The second time through the Red Bull test my bike bogged off the lip of an 8 foot drop off and almost endoed, but I rode it out. I racked myself in the process and found myself short of breath and blowing corners. I made it through the test without wrecking! When I got up to the ski resort I put a new clip on the master link of my chain. The old one was wearing down. I made it through the enduro test one last time. It had huge holes in it and was very silty.
I got back to the parc ferme’ and changed a front and rear tire, and changed an air filter in the 15 mins that I was giving to service my bike.
