DAY FIVE
Today is pretty much the last day of the six days event. On the sixth day is just the motocross. There was a brand new trail today that we had to ride twice. I started a lil bit earlier today than I did yesterday. I went through the same procedure in the morning before the start. The first test was the motocross track right next to the parc ferme’. I did a heel-clicker for Bob and Steve on the step up table top. Half way through the test I got some arm pump and could barely hold on, but I made it through. The next special test was about 10 mins down the road. It was in a hay field/cow pasture/air port. My arms pumped up big time around the 3rd corner. There were a lot of flat corners and no ruts. I pretty much goon rode through the whole test. About 4 miles after that was a service check. I got to take a lil break. Next was a service check that was about an 1hr and 20mins away. It was a pretty fun trail section. The service check was up at the ski resort. I changed an air filter and transmission oil. After that was the enduro test. I missed a couple of switch back corners in it. I felt way out of control. I had about an 1hr and 40min ride back to the parc ferme’. When I got to the service check at the parc ferme’ I checked my rear axle nut…. It was loose. Haha….
On my second loop my motocross test was pretty good. I think that I was more awake when I went through it. On the air field test I started right behind Tom Sagar. It helped that I started behind him because I could see what was coming up next, such as turns and straight a ways. I went through the test pretty good. I didn’t make too many mistakes. When I got up to the ski resort service check I switched out a header pipe because I put a pretty good size dent in it. I also changed an air filter so it would be fresh for the enduro test. The enduro test went pretty good on my 2nd time through. On my way back to the parc ferme’ to the pre finish I was play riding the whole time and doing burn out power slides through town. Haha… I changed a front and rear tire, and an air filter before I impounded.
