Good morning - It's the start of Day 2 and I'm just getting up to the Press box to do some reporting.

As you can see by David's race report at www.davidkamo.com <http://www.davidkamo.com/>  yesterday was a wild and long day with dust issues being a problem.

Besides Kurt Caselli hitting a car, Ryan Powell's dislocated shoulder and Nathan Woods having electrical issues, we had a club rider who also dislocated a shoulder; Club rider Kyle Kubitchek (Boise rider) lost the bead on his rear tire; and a club rider was bitten by what they think is a vicious spider! That rider is back at the hotel on antibiotics and other meds with a high fever, etc!

David Kamo also had a very close encounter with a car and luckily only knicked his arm with the car's mirror. It left an ugly contusion, but he will be fine.

Kyle K. did really well on the motorcross yesterday morning. He had the 5th fastest time overall! He is still in the game, inspite of the tire issues, and today will be a new day for him! Yesterday he won several Club Team tests prior to loosing his tire.

David started quite a bit earlier today which is great! There will be less slow people in the special tests. As you can tell by the other news articles you read, that was a real problem on Day 1!

I spent the day up on the mountain by a very fancy ski lodge. It was a delightful day! The riders were somewhat worn out by the time they go to the top of the mountains. There were 2 very large hills that they had to get up. The problem isn't their ability to ride up them, it's the other riders that can't make the hill and log jam it for the faster guys. Also the more bikes up the hill, the more rougher it was getting. Today will be interesting to see how it goes on the same sections.

Jill is up at check 2 on the mountain where I was yesterday. Andrew is in the car going to Check 1 in case David needs a new clutch. Then he'll whip over to Check 2 to make sure the bike is holding together after being out of oil for a bit.

I must get going as I have 1 rear tire and mousse tube to prep for tonight, as well as washing out and oiling 4 filters. Last night, I did 2 loads of laundry. A mother's work is never done. HA!

I will see David about noon today as he comes in for Check 3.

I know that most of you are following along on the live race results at www.isde2008.gr <http://www.isde2008.gr/> , so I won't bore you with repetition here - other than the USA is doing well.  Kurt Caselli is #1 overall, Trophy team is 3rd, Woman's is 2nd and Jr. Team is 13th.

Thanks from all of us!

GO USA!
